Dude2Dude is a private brotherhood for men navigating cardiac recovery — peer support, real tools, and a community that gets it.

cardiac patients experience depression after surgery — and most never tell their doctor
Most men
won't discuss fear, grief, or emotional struggles during recovery — even with family
Peer support
measurably improves outcomes, medication adherence, and quality of life
Where this started
When a man comes home from open-heart surgery, he gets a discharge sheet and a follow-up appointment — usually six weeks out. Between that moment and that appointment, he's on his own. His family is scared. His doctor is busy. And he's exhausted, confused, and not sure what "normal" is supposed to feel like anymore.
Dude2Dude was born from that gap. The founders lived it firsthand — the silence, the isolation, the questions you're too proud to ask. They knew there had to be a better way than figuring it out alone.
The research backed it up: peer support is one of the most powerful forces in cardiac recovery. Men who connect with others who've been through it recover faster, stay more compliant with their care plan, and report better quality of life. The problem isn't the evidence — it's that the infrastructure for that connection didn't exist.
Until now. Dude2Dude is that infrastructure.
Why it works
Psychological safety
You open up to someone who has been there — not a clinician charting notes, but a man who knows exactly what you mean.
Better outcomes
Peer support programs are associated with improved adherence, fewer readmissions, and higher patient confidence.
Accountability
A buddy who checks in on you is worth ten reminders from a portal. Men show up differently for each other.
